Can I start with only minimal knowledge?

In our current digital age, it’s rare to find someone who doesn’t have some sort of online presence, whether it’s through social media, an email account, a digital company. But while the general consensus seems to be that being online is the best way to reach more customers and create more revenue, building your company or service on an online platform can be risky.

There's a lot of patience that's going to be involved when it comes to understanding the communication with your audience such as social media, marketing and technical details. However, all of the information that is needed to be successful is available at your fingertips. If you don’t do your research and plan properly before launching your online business, you could end up wasting time, money and energy on something that ultimately isn’t profitable.

Even if you have an exact idea of what you want your website to look like, or what products you want to offer it's likely that the process might be complex. However, there are plenty of digital courses, free videos, and other information out in the open to be consumed. It is up to you to execute and take advantage of what you have to offer.

Don't be afraid to reach out to your social circle or community to support you in the beginning. Social media can be used to promote your company through paid or unpaid work. For example, you can reach out to people to see if they'd like to be an ambassador for you. By having other individuals share your services or products it is certain they can reach their digital audience to some extent. 

If you never ask, the answer will always be no. 

A lot of people are perfectionists or suffer from some form of anxiety. It leads to procrastination, stress, and lower productivity levels. Quality is important when creating, however it's not everything. A digital audience will grow with you, not against you--if you understand the HYPE of today's world. 

It's no secret that virtual assistants, social media managers, and copywriters are more important than ever. This is due to the inflation of social media use and the speed that information can travel on certain websites and applications. For example, TikTok has created an algorithm that can reach so many eyes within seconds. One element of your brand can be listed on one social site, however lead consumers to want to dive in more to what you have to offer. 

If you're skeptical and you aren't a believer of the power of the internet in today's world, I consider you to research where the modern consumer lies when it comes to communicating with businesses. There are always going to be generational gaps, however technology has created a rapid transformation in the world. 

The benefits are that you can reach millions of people all over the world without having to spend more than what your time is worth. You can get instant feedback on any product or idea from customers who may have never heard about you before. The most important aspect of going digital is that you are able to do all this without spending as much money. 

Social media influence is approachable if you make it.

Start by figuring out what audience you're targeting with your company or services. If you're wanting to present yourself to young business professionals, keep things sleek and modern. If you are reaching out to stay-at-home mothers, make sure your product is useful or relevant to their lifestyle. If you are a neutral or universal service, make that known in your sales copy. 

It doesn't hurt to create, change, and evolve. But it does hurt your growth by not taking the step into the most incredible journey yet!
